It’s All Hado

Geez, that’s a lot of cheese!

Today my husband ordered a quesadilla for lunch.  My first thought was, Geez, that’s a lot of cheese! Yes it is, however, I recently finished reading a book called The True Power of Water, by Masaru Emoto.  In his book, he uses a term known as hado, “the energy or vibration inherent in all things.”1 Through his research and photographic images, he has shown the world how water has the ability to register and respond to the information, sound, or image it receives.

When water is exposed to positive influences, an intricately well-formed water crystal will appear.  Negative influences resulted in an absence of crystal formation or, at the very least, a misshapen water crystal.

Based on the fact that the average human body is roughly comprised of 70% water, I wanted to apply Dr. Emoto’s principle to the hado of food.  Could it be that cheese has a particular hado (vibration) built around it based on what we have been led to believe?

Many people celebrate the existence of cheese through beautifully arranged cheese platters, fun-filled fondue parties (remember those days), and the all-time classic, a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup.

On the other side of the fence, we have a group of people who will not eat cheese for a variety of reasons, mostly health related.  So here we have two opposite lifestyles.  Could it be that our thoughts are dictating the very experience and health ramifications of the actual food item?

This thinking next led me down the path towards a desire to release my resistance to cheese, and to create my own personal hado while my husband enjoyed his quesadilla. With each bite, I was going to try to refrain from thinking, Did you happen to pack your defibrillator? to instead, he’s really enjoying his quesadilla.  That’s great!  Now, I ask you, which one sounds better?  Which feels better to you and to the 70% water from which you are made?

Now, don’t think I don’t hear all you naysayers in the background trying to prove me wrong.  I hear you, and I understand; however, these are the vibrations I want my husband to receive with every bite.

To further quote a noted authority on divine Mind over matter or, in this case, vibrations over matter, Mary Baker Eddy, the founder of Christian Science, said, “Hold thought steadfastly to the enduring, the good, and the true, and you will bring these into your experience proportionately to their occupancy of your thoughts.” 2

I would like my husband to be governed by principles, thoughts, and vibrations that provide sustenance and emotional nourishment.  In the end, it is our thoughts that shape our reality and all of existence.  If he is going to indulge in a grande sized quesadilla, why not enjoy every last bite.  No doubt this will satisfy him on a deep cellular level.

Complete nourishment comes not only from the whole foods we eat, but also from the thoughts we keep foremost in our minds.

As I finished writing this story, my husband wanted me to mention how I have had a profound influence on the way he eats.  He says he is most grateful for the healthy food I prepare, and most importantly, to point out his love for peanut butter cup ice cream.  It’s all hado.
