Do you go down the rabbit hole?
I wear granny panties—as in high waisted women’s underwear. Oh they are a sight to behold, but I must confess how much I love wearing them. I once tried wearing a fashionable sexy thong for an entire day, but couldn’t find the darn thing when it came time to undress. Perhaps you’ve found it?
One of my greatest pleasures in life is opening my dresser drawer and seeing all my underwear nicely folded in an assortment of muted colors. If you want to discover a person’s true personality, have a look-see at their undergarments. Their choice of colors, patterns, and style reveal a great deal about the person.
Among my underwear, reside 2 pairs in stark white. They were included in the package I purchased. And somehow or another, each pair made it to the front section of my dresser drawer. Quite honestly, I don’t enjoy wearing the color white for this type of garment. It makes the underwear appear ginormous, where I look like a paratrooper in mid air on a mission. Yes, I do possess a shred of vanity.
But, wouldn’t you know it? I pulled the white panties from the drawer this morning. Talk about starting off on the wrong foot. I couldn’t put them on. My right foot kept getting stuck in the opening. And that’s when I thought, What the heck are you doing? Why are you forcing yourself to wear these white panties?
You know how a baby makes a face when it doesn’t want to eat that last bite of pureed spinach. Well, that’s exactly how my body felt. My body was talking to me in a very clear and direct way. It wasn’t subtle. My muscles lacked the necessary coordination in order to properly get dressed.
Our bodies speak to us every minute of every day through body language. An itch on the head, a sinking feeling in our stomach, or those goosebumps on our arms. The list goes on when you pay attention. Most people tend to write these off as involuntary bodily actions, but I don’t quite agree, except for perhaps a burp here and there.
The closer you pay attention, the more discerning you will become towards the meaning of these signals. And it is in your best interest to pay attention to what your body is telling you through non verbal communication. Once you begin to take notice, you will uncover a storehouse of information to help guide you in your life, along with your legs and arms.
Take a moment today to thank your body for being your best friend, but most of all for having your back.
