Memories of a Forgotten Lifetime

Delayed

There is a good reason why.

I have been working on a project with an intended due date, however, this date came and went due to unforeseen circumstances.  I then set a second completion date, and it too, was met with an obstacle.  The fact that a second delay had now occurred, made me question as to whether or not this was a sign to completely forgo this particular project.

Instead of pushing forward, I stopped and completely let go of the project.  It needed to breathe and so did I.  I put it on the back burner for a week or so.  Do I complete it?  Do I complete it, or not?

As I began to relax into the situation I noticed something else taking place.  The project, though it appeared to be complete, was in need of further addressing.  Had I pushed it out the door with the first two due dates, I would have left out an important element.  The delay was just what was needed to bring about a proper completion.

While sitting on my living room sofa I quietly drew my attention inward to listen for internal guidance as to what date would best suit its’ send-off.  And as soon as I made this request, a specific month and day appeared in my mind’s eye—like magic.  Moreover, this particular date invoked a feeling of peace that I had not previously experienced.  It was clear to me that this was the appropriate completion date for my special project.

With a renewed sense of enthusiasm, I looked forward to this new send-off date.  This delay offered assistance in a way I least expected.  The third time truly is the charm.
